Biography

2010-11: Competed in five coed regattas… helped UH claim first at the Stoney Burke Intersectional (Oct. 13-14) capturing first in the B division… finished third at the PCCSC Match Race Championship (Oct 23-24)… assisted the Rainbows team to a first place finish at the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite (Jan. 22-23)… competed at the PCCSC Team Race Championship (Apr. 16-17) helping the UH team claim third.  

2009-10: Named an all-PCCSC skipper…sailed in twelve coed regattas… took 10th at the PCCSC Men’s Singlehandeds (Sept. 26-27)…finished third in the B division to help team capture the Stoney Burke Intersectional (Oct. 10-11)…helped UH take second in the PCCSC Sloop Championship (Oct. 3-4) and the St. Francis Invitational (Apr. 3-4)…part of the squad that helped UH qualify for the dinghy nationals with a fourth-place finish in the PCCSC Dinghy Championship (April 17-18)….sailed in the B division in the ICSA Dinghy National Championship Semifinals (May 1-2) as UH placed 13th overall… helped lead UH to a second place finish in the PCCSC Team Racing Championships and the program’s first berth in the team nationals since 2005 …part of ICSA Team Race Championship squad that took 11th overall.

2008-09: Sailed in ten regattas…placed fifth at the PCCSC Men’s Singlehanded Championship (Sept. 27-28)…part of the B division first-place team at the Stony Burke Intersectional helping the team take fourth overall…assisted UH in earning two runner-up titles at the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite (Jan. 17-18) and at the PCCSC Dinghy Championship (Apr. 11-12) …competed in the ICSA National Championship Semifinals (Apr. 26-27) as UH took 14th place overall. 

2007-08: Sailed in five regattas...helped UH to a third-place finish in the PCCSC Fall Dinghy Championship...finished third in the Rainbow Invite (Jan. 19-20) with the UH White squad and third at the PCCSC Team Championship (Apr. 11)...runner-up finish in the McIntyre Team Race (Mar. 1-2)....helped UH to clinch its 10th ever appearance in the ICSA Dinghy nationals as part of squad that finished third in the PCCSC Dinghy Championship (Apr. 12-13).

Prep: A 2007 graduate of Venice High School in California...lettered in swimming and sailing.

Personal: Born in Los Angeles, Calif...intends to major in business...parents are Donna and Bill Petersen of Los Angeles, Calif.
