2009-10: Won the PCCSC’s Mikey Murison Memorial Sportsmanship Award…sailed in eight coed regattas…top UH finisher at PCCSC Men’s Singlehandeds (Sept. 26-27), placing ninth… helped UH tie for second at the PCCSC Sloop Championship (Oct. 3-4)…part of the squad that helped UH qualify for the dinghy nationals with a fourth-place finish in the PCCSC Dinghy Championship (April 17-18)…. helped lead UH to a second place finish in the PCCSC Team Racing Championships and the program’s first berth in the team nationals since 2005 …part of ICSA Team Race Championship squad that took 11th overall.
2008-09: Sailed in seven regattas…placed 11th at the PCCSC Men’s Singlehandeds (Sept. 27-28)…assisted UH to a runner-up finish at the PCCSC Dinghy Championships (Apr. 11-12) taking third place in B division…competed in the ICSA National Championship Semifinals (Apr. 26-27) on the B division squad, placing 14th in division and overall.
2007-08: Sailed in three regattas... teamed with Mark Spector and Samuel Kahn to capture the PCCSC Sloop Championships (Nov. 16-18) in Newport Beach, Calif...the win qualified UH for the sloop nationals for the first time since 1997...sailed with Spector and Peter Wenner in the ICSA National Sloop Championship, finishing in sixth place...also sailed in the Rainbow Invite (Jan. 19-20), placing third as part of the UH White squad.
2006-07: Sailed in four regattas...helped UH to a third place finishes in both the PCCSC Sloop (Oct. 14-15) and Fall Dinghy championships (Nov. 11-12)...on of four Rainbows to sail in the PCCSC Men’s Singlehanded Championship (Sept. 23-24), finishing 10th...participated in just one spring regatta, sailing singlehanded for UH in the C division of the Truxtun Umsted (Mar. 17-18).
2005-06: Did not compete.
Prep: A 2005 graduate of La Jolla High School in San Diego, Calif... sailed for the Mission Bay Yacht Club under coaches Randy Lake, Bridget Sheas, and Doub Trumbill...also garnered a scholarship for ranking in the top one percent in state physical testing.
Personal: Born in San Diego, Calif...a civil engineering major...has one younger brother...parents are Danah Woodruff and Ken Wild of San Diego, Calif.
