Ikaika Jobe begins his third season as a volunteer coach for the Rainbow Warriors. Jobe, a former state champion player for Punahou School, returns home to the islands after a standout collegiate career.
 
Jobe played three seasons for St. Louis University and in all three seasons earned all-Conference USA honors. While playing primarily the No. 1 position, Jobe racked up an outstanding 54-23 singles record, including 22 wins as a senior. He also excelled in the classroom, earning Verizon Academic All-District honors. Jobe completed his collegiate career at Boise State University of the Western Athletic Conference where he went 28-13 in both singles and doubles and was part of a nationally ranked Bronco squad that claimed the Western Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
 
While at Punahou, Jobe was a three-time all-state selection and two-time singles high school state champion. Jobe went undefeated as a senior and was an integral part of a Punahou squad that extended its streak to eleven straight team titles. As a junior player, he was ranked 11th nationally for doubles play in 2000 and earned national singles rankings of 37th (1999) and 54th (2000).

This past summer Jobe was one of 16 sectional qualifiers for the U.S. Open National Playoffs in Atlanta and advanced to the second round of the tournament. He also successfully defended his Kailua Night Doubles championship with partner Dennis Lajola. Jobe has been ranked as high as No. 787 in the world in singles and No. 377 in doubles.
The Honolulu native graduated from Boise State with a degree in marekting in 2005 . He is currently a second-year student at UH’s William S. Richardson School of Law.
