His responsibilities include the design and implementation of athletic performance protocols as well as assisting in practice and game preparation. Hull is also heavily involved in injury rehabilitation and return to play initiatives. Additionally, Hull oversees internships and professional development for the strength and conditioning department. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Hawai‘i in the Kinesiology department.

Hull earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and exercise physiology from the University of Missouri. He was a letterwinner on the Tigers' football team who were Cotton Bowl, Citrus Bowl, and two-time SEC East Champions, finishing fifth in the nation in 2013. He was a four-time SEC academic all-conference selection and on the University’s Dean’s List. Hull was selected by his teammates to be part of the university’s Tiger Leadership Counsel during both his junior and senior campaigns. Upon graduation, he was selected as the “Brock Olivo Award” winner, which was voted  by coaches and given to the player who best exemplified, leadership, work ethic and success.

Prior to coming to the University of Hawai‘i, Hull served as a volunteer assistant strength coach for the University of Missouri’s wrestling, volleyball, and track and field programs. Mizzou wrestling won its sixth straight MAC title; finished undefeated in dual meets; crowned four All-Americans and finished ranked No. 6 in the nation. During that time Mizzou wrestling also produced an Olympic silver medalist in J’Den Cox. Mizzou volleyball competed in the sweet 16 and had a 22-12 record in 2017, defeating No. 19 Kansas and No. 16 Wichita State.

Hull began at UH as a graduate assistant (2016-18) where he worked with football, men’s basketball, men’s swimming and diving, women’s throws, and women’s sprints/hurdles/jumps. Under his supervision, the men’s swimming and diving team won their first conference championship since 2006 and qualified numerous athletes for NCAAs. Women’s track and field broke multiple school records, including the 60-meter dash, and ran the best relay times in nearly 30 years. As a graduate assistant, he was integral in the return to play of star wide receiver John Ursua in 2018 before he led the country in receiving touchdowns and was selected first team all-Mountain West.

Hull earned his master’s degree in kinesiology from UH in 2018. Following graduation, he was hired as assistant strength and conditioning coordinator and assumed charge of the Rainbow Warrior basketball and Rainbow Wahine softball programs. Additionally, he served as the interim head strength coach for the football program in 2020 following competing in the championship game and winning the West Division in 2019. He was responsible for the design and implementation of the football team's developmental program throughout his time as a graduate assistant and first-year coordinator.

As the assistant strength and conditioning coordinator, he led the Rainbow Warrior basketball team to one of the best seasons (22-11) in school history in 2022-23, while winning the inaugural North Shore Classic and capturing the Diamond Head Classic Championship for the first time in school history. The 2022-23 season was the team’s sixth straight winning season (2nd best in school history). The 2022-23 team also topped the charts in school history in scoring defense, 3-point defense and finished fifth all-time in field goal percentage defense. They also ranked nationally in all three statistics while recording the best assist percentage defense in NCAA history.

With Hull, the Rainbow Wahine softball team has been a perennial conference championship contender; leading the conference in team home runs (53) in 2023, as well as individual home runs (Nawaii Kaupe) and leading the entire NCAA in double plays in 2022. Women’s golf shared the conference championship title in 2022 and placed two athletes on the all-conference teams in 2023.

Hull's father Alan Hull wrestled for the University of Iowa under Dan Gable, his mother Gwen was a tennis athlete at the University of Missouri and has completed in four marathons. His oldest sister Amanda plays professional rugby in the PR7s league. Younger sister Natalie played basketball at Regis University, and youngest brother William was an all-state pole-vaulter.
