Olivia "Oli" Vea begins her first season as a graduate assistant for the Warriors. Her main responsibilities will be assisting the video coordinator with practice and game preparation, editing and opponent film breakdown.
Vea, who was an undergraduate assistant for the Warriors for the past two seasons, is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Pacific Island studies. She holds a bachelor’s degree from UH in Creative Media with a focus in cinema production.
The 2007 graduate of Kaimuki High School was an intern for the CBS hit show "Hawai‘i Five-0" last spring and a video mentor for the Pacific Voices Club at the UH-Manoa Education Department. She also directed an independent documentary titled "Fai Kava," which was showcased at the Pacific Islanders in Communication event in 2011.
