Daniel "Buuk" Bukarau begins his first season as a graduate assistant for the Warriors. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational administration.
Bukarau attended the University of Utah and redshirted in 2003 before serving a two-year mission to Costa Rica. He returned to Utah and was a four-year letterman for the Utes (2007-10), playing in 10 career games as a back-up offensive lineman. The team’s offensive scout MVP as a redshirt freshman in 2007, Bukarau earned a scholarship prior to his senior season.
A 2003 graduate of Kailua High School on O‘ahu, he lettered in football and soccer. A two-year starter on the offensive line, Bukarau helped lead the Surfriders to co-champions of the OIA-Red East during his junior year.
Born in Suva, Fiji, Bukarau and his family moved to Hawai‘i, where was raised in Kailua.
