The University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department is rallying together, and we are asking for your help to support the communities and families across the islands devastated by the recent flooding. This historic disaster—the worst in 20 years—
has caused over $1 billion in damages. Now more than ever, we invite you to join our UH Athletics ‘Ohana and come together to provide the resources and strength necessary for our neighbors to rebuild and recover.

University of Hawai'i & UH Foundation's: Urgent Relief Funds
One impactful way to support local recovery efforts is by donating to the University of Hawaiʻi Foundation's emergency fund, which is dedicated to helping UH students, faculty, and staff impacted by the recent devastating floods. In the wake of this historic disaster, members of the UH ‘Ohana are facing urgent, everyday challenges—such as securing safe housing, finding hot meals, and replacing basic necessities and essential educational materials like laptops and textbooks. By contributing to this initiative, your donation will directly assist these students and colleagues in navigating the lengthy recovery ahead, ensuring they have the crucial resources needed to rebuild their lives and stay in school. Hawai'i Community Foundation: Stronger Hawai'i Fund
Designed specifically for statewide disaster preparedness, response, and resilience, this fund provides a flexible and rapid way to deploy resources exactly where the need is greatest across all islands. In response to the recent severe flooding, the fund has already begun distributing emergency grants to local grassroots organizations, response hubs, and community networks throughout Honolulu, Maui, Moloka‘i, and Hawai‘i Counties. By directing your support to the Stronger Hawai‘i Fund, you are empowering on-the-ground organizations to deliver immediate relief and sustained recovery efforts to every corner of our state. Rainbow Warrior Football Supply Drive - Sunday, March 29: 8 -11 am
If you prefer to contribute tangible items, the Rainbow Warrior football team is stepping up to host a dedicated Flood Relief Supply Drive. On Sunday, March 29, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, players and staff will be collecting essential goods to distribute directly to communities devastated by the recent flooding. You can easily drop off your donations at the 30-minute stalls fronting the UH Athletics Complex, located at 1337 Lower Campus Road in Honolulu. This is a great opportunity to join forces with our student-athletes and provide immediate, hands-on support to our neighbors as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding.
The supply drive will be accepting essential items including cleaning supplies (such as bleach and disinfectant), trash bags, Clorox wipes, dish and laundry soap, hygiene products, batteries, flashlights, shovels, rakes, squeegees, mops, brooms, boots, propane tanks, first aid kits, safety gear (like masks and gloves), non-perishable foods, and water. |
