Clarence T.C. Ching Complex  –  Honolulu

GAME CAPTAINS
  • Jonah Panoke, Ezra Evaimalo

SERIES INFORMATION
  • UH has won five of the last six meetings overall including the last three in Honolulu.
  • All but two of the last 14 meetings have been decided by double digits.
  • The all-time series now stands at 15-14, still in favor of Nevada.
  • The teams have met every year since 2000 — all as conference members (WAC: 2000-11; MW: 2012-present). In conference play, UH now leads the series 13-12.
  • The home team has won 20 of the 29 meetings overall and seven of the last 10 games.

UH VERSUS THE MOUNTAIN WEST
  • UH moved to 32-67 (.323) all-time in the MW, including 19-32 (.373) at home.

TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS
  • UH scored a touchdown on its opening possession for the third time in five home games this season.
  • UH has won three of its last four conference home games dating back to last year.

INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS
  • Brayden Schager extended his school-record streak of 30 straight starts at quarterback, a streak that dates back to 2022.
  • Schager saw his streak of 11 straight games with a passing touchdown come to an end. It was just the second time in the last 30 games that he did not throw a passing touchdown.
  • Sophomore receiver Pofele Ashlock has caught a pass in all 20 games he has played in during his career.
  • Sergio Muasau saw a streak of 20 straight starts come to an end when Ethan Spencer made his first career start at center.

TEAM NOTES
  • UH’s 21-point win over the Wolf Pack was the largest at home over a Mountain West opponent since moving into the Ching Complex in 2021.
  • UH pitched a first-half shutout for the second time this year, the first coming vs. UCLA on Aug. 31.
  • UH has allowed just 15.6 points per game at home this year.
  • UH rushed for a season high 242 yards on 42 carries with the four touchdowns. It was the most rushing yards by the Warriors since 2021 vs. New Mexico State (263 yards).
  • The 42 carries were the most since UH’s 2022 win over Nevada when they rushed for 223 yards on 46 carries.
  • Conversely, UH set season lows for pass attempts (25), completions (14) and yards (153) while not scoring a passing touchdown for the first time this year.
  • UH tied a season-low with just one punt (also vs. Northern Iowa).
  • For the second straight game, UH turned over its opponent on downs on their opening drive.
  • The Warriors caused multiple turnovers for the fourth time this season (one fumble recovery, one interception).
  • UH went 6-of-6 in the red zone with four touchdowns. The Warriors entered the evening having scored 12 touchdowns on 22 red-zone drives.
  • Nevada’s 63-yard touchdown on the second play of the third quarter was the longest pass play UH has surrendered this year.
  • Under head coach Timmy Chang, UH is 0-14 when scoring 17 points or fewer compared to 11-9 when scoring more than 17 points.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Brayden Schager scored four rushing touchdowns, the most by a Warrior since Alex Green had four at Utah State in 2010.
  • Schager joins Glenn Freitas and Ivin Jasper as the only other UH quarterbacks to score four rushing touchdowns. Freitas did it twice in 1995 (at UNLV, vs. UTEP) while Jasper established the record in a 1993 game vs. UTEP.
  • Schager finished with a career-high 120 yards on the ground on 19 attempts.
  • He is the first quarterback to rush for 100+ yards since Chevan Cordeiro (116 yards) at Fresno State in 2020. It was also the most rushing yards by a UH quarterback since Cole McDonald’s 140 yards at New Mexico in 2019.
  • Schager also threw for 153 yards on 14-of-25 passing. With his 14 completions Schager moved past Bryant Moniz (791) for third all-time at UH in completions with 797.
  • Landon SIms rushed for a career high 82 yards on nine carries.
  • Nalu Emerson registered his first sack of the season  and second of his career to extinguish Nevada’s opening drive of the game.
  • Emerson also notched his first career interception to end Nevada’s last possession of the game.
  • Cam Stone finished with seven tackles, his most as a Rainbow Warriors, while also adding a forced fumble and pass break-up.
  • Anthony Sagapolutele recorded his first career sack with his fourth-quarter takedown of AJ Bianco.
  • Logan Taylor finished with a season-high eight tackles.
