SERIES INFORMATION
  • BSU leads the all-time series 16-3 and have won the last 10 meetings dating back to 2008.
  • The Broncos have won 16 of the last 17 match-ups since 2001 — all as conference foes (WAC: 2001-10 and MW: 2012-20).
  • BSU has won the last five games in Honolulu (2009, ’12, ’16, and ’20) by an average margin of 29.0 points. BSU holds a 8-3 all-time advantage in Honolulu.
 
UH VERSUS THE MOUNTAIN WEST
  • UH dropped to 31-67 (.316) all-time in the MW.
 
TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS
  • Hawai‘i has dropped its last 13 games on national television and 16 of its last 17 dating back to the start of the 2021 season.
 
INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS
  • Brayden Schager extended his school-record streak of 28 straight starts at quarterback, a streak that dates back to 2022.
  • Peter Manuma saw his 26-game streak of consecutive starts at safety come to a close with Justin SInclair starting in his place. Manuma’s streak dated back to his freshman season in 2022.
  • Pofele Ashlock has caught a pass in all 19 games of his career.
  • Ashlock, who finished with three catches for 42 yards, saw his streak of four straight games with a receiving touchdown come to a close as well as his streak with eight or more catches in four straight games.
 
TEAM NOTES
  • UH held Boise State to its lowest halftime (13) and game (28) scoring outputs this season The Broncos came into the game leading the nation in scoring at 50.6 points per game.
  • UH scored a season-low seven points. The previous low was 13 points at Sam Houston and vs. UCLA.
  • UH dropped to 11-48 all-time record against nationally ranked teams, including 10-27 at home. Hawai‘i’s last win over a ranked team was against 18th-ranked Fresno State in 2021, which marks the only previous time a ranked team has visited Ching Complex.
  • Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty finished with 217 rushing yards on 31 carries. It was the most rushing yards by a UH opponent since UNLV’s Charles Williams rushed for 266 yards in 2021.    
  • Jeanty’s 54-yard rush in the first quarter was the longest touchdown run UH has surrendered this year
  • Boise State set UH opponent highs in totals yards (450), first downs (23), and sacks (8).
  • The eight sacks were the most UH gave up since surrendering nine versus Louisiana Tech in the 2018 Hawaii Bowl. UH has given up a combined 13 sacks in the last two contests.
  • UH had its second turnover-free game of the season.
  • UH’s 91-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter was its longest this season, eclipsing last week’s 89-yard touchdown drive at San Diego State.
  • UH is now 9-9 at home, including 4-5 in conference games, under Timmy Chang.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • With 264 yards passing, UH quarterback Brayden Schager moved past Cole McDonald for fourth on the all-time passing list with 8,097 career yards.  Schager also became just the fifth UH player to eclipse 8,000 career yards of total offense. He now has 8,258 yards.
  • Lucas Borrow booted a career-long 70 yard punt in the second quarter. It was the longest punt by a Rainbow Warrior since Rigo Sanchez’ 73-yard punt versus Air Force in 2015.
  • Landon Sims’s 52-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter was a career-long reception and tied for the second-longest catch by a Rainbow Warrior this year.
  • Ashlock 30 yard catch in the first quarter was his longest this season
  • Kansei Matsuzawa missed a season-long 39-yard attempt on the first play of the second quarter. It was just his second missed field goal in seven attempts this year.
  • Tylan Hines made his first start of the season and the fourth of his career at running back
  • Hines finished with two carries for one yard and a 27-yard touchdown catch.
  • The 27-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter was UH’s lone score of the game and marked the second straight week Hines scored a receiving touchdown.
  • Redshirt freshman Deliyon Freeman made his first career start at cornerback and finished with two tackles.
