2022 HAWAI‘I CROSS COUNTRY

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

 

  • The Rainbow Wahine kicked off the season by winning the Big Wave Invitational at Kahuku Golf Course on O‘ahu’s North Shore as senior Caelen Miller paced the way for her first career victory. 

 

  • Miller turned in a stellar season as she recorded top times for the ‘Bows in five of the six meets during the 2022 campaign. 

 

  • UH placed eighth overall in the Big West Championships, with Miller finishing at 26th overall, the highest individual finish for a ‘Bow since 2016.

 

  • In her final meet of the season, Miller recorded the best time of her career at the NCAA West Regional at 20:52.2. She became only the second Rainbow Wahine to finish with a time under 21 minutes in the 6k, placing her second in the UH record book. 

 

  • Three student-athletes were named to the Big West All-Academic Team, including Miller, as well as seniors Sophia Morgan and Terra Stevens.

BIG WAVE INVITATIONAL

Rainbow Wahine complete the sweep as they get the 1-2-3 finish at the Big Wave Invitational in Kahuku. Caelan Miller finished in first place followed by Sophia Morgan and Keilah Wilkes.
