2022-23 HAWAI‘I WOMEN'S GOLF 

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• Hyeonji Kang was named first-team all-Big West while Mayumi Umezu earned second-team honors. Both were named to College SportsCommunicators All-District Team.

• Kang recorded the lowest scoring average in program history (73.83) and posted three Top 10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Cowgirl Classic with a 2-over 218 total.

• Team’s scoring average of 303.8 was the fourth-lowest in program history.

• Mayumi Umezu posted a team-best eight rounds of par or better while Kang recorded a team-best five rounds under par.

• Umezu’s 5-under 67 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational was tied for the second-lowest single round in program history while her 4-under 212 was also tied for the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history.

• Umezu tied for fourth place at the Big West Championship with a 6-over 222 total and earned all-tournament team honors.

• Team’s best finish was fourth place at the Cowgirl Classic while its 287 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational was tied for the third-lowest single-round in program history.

• Hosted three tournaments – Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, and Anuenue Spring Break Classic.
