2023 HAWAI'I BEACH VOLLEYBALL

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• The Rainbow Wahine made a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year and for the sixth time overall with an at-large bid.

• The BeachBows finished the year with a 27-9  record, concluding its season with a loss to No. 6 seed  Loyola Marymount in the NCAA Round of 16. 

• UH climbed to as high as eighth in the national rankings before finishing 10th in the final AVCA poll. It was the BeachBows first top 10 finish since 2020.

• UH put together an 18-match win streak stretching the near entirety of March for the second longest streak in program history and the longest since the ‘Bows won a school-record 32 matches in 2018.

• During that stretch, UH captured three straight tournaments: the Best in the West, the Heineken Queen’s Cup, and the Big West Challenge.

• UH also strung together 13 straight home wins running from late February to April for the second-longest streak in program history. 

• Kaylee Glagau and Brooke Van Sickle were named to the All-America first team for the second straight season, the first UH pair to earn back-to-back honors.

• The duo was also named the Big West Pair of the Year once again, becoming the conference’s first-ever repeat winner of the award.

• Four different pairs earned all-Big West honors, headlined by first-team honorees Glagau and Van Sickle. Also honored were Kylin Loker-Riley Wagoner (2nd team), Ilihia Huddeston-Jaime Santer (2nd team) and Chandler Cowell-Sydney Miller (honorable mention).

BACK TO 'BAMA

The BeachBows made their way back to Gulf Shores, Ala., earning an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament field. It was the sixth NCAA bid in seven tries for the 'Bows who ultimately fell to No. 6 Loyola Marymount in the round of 16.
