SERIES INFORMATION
● UH defeated Colorado State for the third time in the last four meetings and for the second straight time in Honolulu.
● Colorado State still leads the all-time series 16-12.
● UH now holds a 9-6 advantage in games played in Honolulu including a win in 2021 (50-45).
● The teams have played eight times in Mountain West play with the Rams holding a 5-3 edge.
UH IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST
● Hawai‘i is now 31-65 (.323) all-time in the Mountain West — including 18-31 at home.
TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS
● Hawai‘i has won its last six Senior Night games and 11 of its last 12.
● UH went turnover free for the third time this season. The UH offense did not commit a turnover in three of its final four games of the season.
● UH won the turnover battle for the third time in the last four games.
● At least eight different players caught a pass in 10 of UH’s 13 games this season.
INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS
● Brayden Schager made his 22nd consecutive start.
● Schager has thrown at least one touchdown in 20 of the last 21 games.
TEAM NOTES
● UH finished the season 4-3 at home. The Rainbow Warriors are 7-7 at home in two seasons under Timmy Chang.
● The Rainbow Warriors set season highs in total offense (497) and rushing yards (151).
● After forcing just five turnovers in the first nine games, the Warriors created eight takeaways in the last four games, coming away with five INTs and three forced fumbles over that stretch.
● Tory Horton’s nine catches for 186 yards were the most by a UH opponent this year.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
● Matthew Shipley nailed a walk-off field goal for the second time this season with his 51-yarder as the clock expired. He also hit the game-winner in UH’s 20-17 win over New Mexico State.
● The 51-yard field goal was a career-long, exceeding the pair of 50-yarders he hit in UH’s win at Nevada earlier this month.
● Shipley finished 3-of-4 on attempts of 50 yards or longer this season. Prior to this season he had yet to attempt a 50-yard field goal.
● With his 35-yard field goal earlier in the fourth quarter, Shipley improved to 38-of-41 (.927) for his career from inside of 40 yards.
● Steven McBride had 81 yards receiving to finish with a team-best 1,024 yards for the season.
● It marked the 24th 1,000-yard receiving season in UH history and the first by a Warrior since 2019.
● McBride also had a 12-yard scoring catch in the first quarter. It was McBride’s ninth touchdown of the year, tied for the most on the team with freshman receiver Pofele Ashlock.
● David Cordero finished with a career-high 52 rushing yards on just five carries. His 36- yard gallop in second quarter was the longest by a UH running back this year.
● Devon Tauaefa hauled in his first career touchdown while Chuuky Hines threw his first career touchdown on their 26-yard trick play in the second quarter.
● Brayden Schager threw for 300 yards for the sixth time this season, finishing with 320 yards on 30-of-43 passing.
● Schager is the eighth quarterback in UH history to post at least six 300-yard passing games in a single-season
● With his 12-yard scoring toss to Steven McBride, Schager took sole possession of seventh all-time in career passing touchdowns (41), surpassing Nick Rolovich.
● Elijah Palmer recorded his second interception of the year when he picked off Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi in the end zone in the first quarter. The freshman’s other interception came in UH’s win over Albany.
● In his final game as a Rainbow Warrior, senior Andrew Choi recorded the team’s lone sack of the game with a takedown on Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi on the Rams’ final possession.
