SERIES INFORMATION
  • Michigan leads the overall series 4-0 including a 2-0 mark in Ann Arbor.
  • In its two visits to Ann Arbor, UH has been out-scored a combined 77-0 in the first half.
 
VERSUS THE BIG TEN
  • Hawai‘i dropped to 9-25 overall against current members of the Big Ten conference, including a 1-11 road record.
 
TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS  
  • UH has lost 15 straight road games (including neutral sites) against Power 5 teams.
  • Hawai‘i has dropped seven of its last eight national TV games dating back to last year.

INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Matthew Shipley nailed a 26-yard field goal in the third quarter. He’s now made 14 straight field goals from 40 yards and in, a streak dating back to last season.
  • Blessman Ta‘ala has played in 54 consecutive games since arriving at UH in 2018.
  • Ilm Manning has started 50 of 52 career games and 16 straight games dating back to 2018.

TEAM NOTES
  • The Warriors are off to their first 0-3 start since the 2013 season.
  • UH played before its second biggest crowd in history (110,012). The top mark was six years ago at the same venue when 110,222 attended UH and Michigan’s first-ever meeting in Ann Arbor.
  • UH’s 42-point halftime deficit was its largest since 2015 when it trailed 49-0 at Boise State.
  • The Warriors have been out-scored 168-37 in their first three games this season.
  • Hawai‘i is 11-47 all-time versus nationally ranked teams, including a 1-20 mark on the road. UH’s lone road win over a ranked team was at No. 22 Fresno State in 2008.
  • UH enjoyed its first turnover-free game since the 2020 New Mexico Bowl.
  • The UH defense held Michigan to 2-of-6 on third-down conversions. In the last two weeks, UH opponents are just 3-of-13 on third downs.
  • UH out-scored Michigan 3-0 in the third quarter. In UH’s first two games the Warriors were out-scored 42-0 in the third.
  • UH had just one penalty for 10 yards. The last time UH committed just one penalty was in its 2018 win over Navy.
  
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Tylan Hines scored his first career touchdown with a 54-yard rush in the fourth quarter. It was UH’s longest play from scrimmage this year.
  • Blessman Ta’ala recorded UH’s first sack of the season with a takedown of Cade McNamara in the second quarter. It was the senior’s third career sack.
  • John Tuitupou recorded his first career sack with a takedown of McNamara in the third quarter.
  • Virdel Edwards recorded his first career interception with a pick of McNamara in the third quarter. It was UH’s second interception of the season.
  • Sophomore Greyson Morgan posted his first career catch with a 21-yard haul in the fourth quarter.
  • Joey Yellen made his second consecutive start as a Rainbow Warrior. He finished 13-of-36 for 113 yards.
  • Three Warriors made their first career starts, two on offense and one on defense: Tamatoa Mokiaoa-Atimalala (WR), Sergio Muasau (LG) and Riley Wilson (LB).
