2021-22 HAWAI‘I SAILING 

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• After having their previous two seasons shortened by COVID, including just one regatta in 2020-21 - the coed and women's teams returned to the water with a full slate of regattas in 2021-22 and enjoyed an ocean of success.

• Both the coed and Rainbow Wahine advanced to the ICSA National Championship in New Orleans.

• The Rainbow Wahine hosted the Spring PCCSC Championship at Keehi Lagoon and finished runner-up to earn one of two of the conference's automatic berths to nationals.  

• The coed team, which captured four regattas during its 2021-22 campaign, earned an automatic berth.

• Both squads appeared in the nationals for the 19th time. The coed team finished 11th in the national semifinals, while the women placed 16th. 

• The coed squad captured four of nine regattas on the season. The team won the Stoney Burke Intersectional in the fall, then won three regattas in the spring – the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite, the PCCSC North Regatta and the PCCSC South Regatta.

• The women's squad won the women's competition of the Stoney Burke in the fall and started the spring strong by claiming the Jeff Simon Women's Regatta. The Rainbow Wahine finished no lower than third in all six of its regular-season women's events.
