SERIES INFORMATION
  • UH regained possession of the the Island Showdown Trophy, the lone rivalry trophy out of four the Rainbow Warriors hold.
  • UH improved to 19-13 overall against UNLV.
  • The home team has won 12 of the last 14 match-ups in the series.
  • UH has won 13 of the 16 all-time meetings in Honolulu, including the last three.
 
UH IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST
  • Hawai‘i is now 28-59 (.322) all-time in the Mountain West — including 16-29 at home.
  • Since the conference moved to two divisions in 2013, UH is 16-28 against the West.

TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • UH snapped a season-long four-game losing streak.  
  • UH won the opening coin toss. The Warriors had previously lost the opening coin toss eight straight times.
 
INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Blessman Ta‘ala has played in 63 consecutive games and has not missed a game since arriving at UH in 2018.
  • Ilm Manning has started 59 of 61 career games and 26 straight games dating back to 2020.

TEAM NOTES
  • Hawai‘i has won its last five Senior Night games and 10 of its last 11. UNLV has been UH’s Senior Night opponent five times since 2000. UH is 5-1 in those games
  • UH finished 3-4 at home this season.
  • After being out-scored by a combined 42-0 in the third quarter in its first two games, UH has held its last 10 opponents to a combined 50 points in the third quarter.
  • UH won for the first time in six games this year when they committed more turnovers than their opponent.
  • UH scored better than 30 points for the second straight game and for the third time overall
  • UH recorded seven tackles-for-loss - its second highest total this year.
  • UNLV’s Elijah Shelton returned a UH fumble three yards for a score in the fourth quarter for the sixth defensive touchdown by a UH opponent this year (3 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries).
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Dedrick Parson finished with 19 carries and 115 yards for his second straight 100-yard game and third of the season.
  • Parson scored his team-leading 11th rushing touchdown of the season on a 34-yard fourth-quarter scamper. It was the second-longest run of his career.
  • Brayden Schager’s three touchdown passes were a career high.
  • Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala scored for the second time in the last three games when he caught a 15-yard score from Schager on UH’s opening drive.
  • Caleb Phillips scored for the second straight game with an 11-yard catch in the third quarter. It was his third touchdown of the season.  
  • Zion Bowens scored on a 55-yard catch in the third quarter, the second-longest pass play of the year for UH. Bowens has the three longest catches for UH this year (66, 55, and 48 yards).
  • Logan Taylor recorded his first career interception with a pick of Doug Brumfield on the final play of the third quarter.
  • Taylor finished with a team-leading 11 tackles. He is the first UH player to record double-digit tackles in five straight games since Jahlani Tavai in 2017.
  • His 64 tackles in the last five games are the most by a UH player in such a stretch since Solomon Elimimian had 68 in a five-game span in 2007.
  • Meki Pei finished with a career high 10 tackles.
  • Senior defensive end Kolby Wyatt made his first career start on Senior Night and finished with one tackle.
