SERIES INFORMATION
  • Wyoming regained possession of the Paniolo Trophy.
  • UH dropped to 11-16 all-time against the Cowboys, including 7-8 in Honolulu.
  • The Warriors had won the previous two meetings in Honolulu (2014 & 2018).
 
UH IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST
  • Hawai‘i is playing its 11th season in the Mountain West and owns a 27-57 (.321) all-time mark—including 15-28 at home.
  • Since the conference moved to two divisions in 2013, UH is 7-19 against the Mountain.

TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • UH dropped to 2-3 at Ching Complex and saw a two-game home win streak snapped.
 
INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Matthew Shipley missed just his second field goal attempt this season when his 37-yard attempt bounced off the left post. His only other failed attempt was blocked.
  • It was also just his second miss in his previous 21 field goal attempts from 40 yards and in, dating back to last season.
  • Shipley did convert on a pair of field goals later in the game and is now 11-of-13 on the season.
  • Shipley has converted on all 86 of his career extra points.
  • Blessman Ta‘ala has played in 60 consecutive games and has not missed a game since arriving at UH in 2018.
  • Ilm Manning has started 56 of 58 career games and 23 straight games dating back to 2020.

TEAM NOTES
  • All three of UH’s Mountain West losses have been by a single possession (combined 13 points).
  • UH enjoyed its third turnover-free game this season.
  • In its last five games overall, Hawai'i has turned the ball over just three times, compared to 10 combined turnovers in the first four games.
  • Wyoming rushed for 365 yards, the second highest total by a UH opponent this year (Vanderbilt, 404)
  • The Cowboys' 76 yards passing was a season-low by a UH opponent.
  • The Warriors recorded a season-high three sacks on the evening.
  • A total of 40 different players have started for UH this season – 19 on offense and 21 on defense.
  • UH was tied at halftime for the first time this season.
  • The Warriors allowed an opponent to score better than 20 points for the first time since its Sept. 24 loss at New Mexico State. The Warriors had limited their opponents to just 49 points in the previous three games for an average of 16.3 points per game.  
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Dedrick Parson scored his first receiving touchdown this season and the second of his career with a 22-yard score in the first quarter. Parson leads the team with 11 total touchdowns.
  • Tylan Hines posted his first career 100-yard rushing game. The freshman finished with 103 yards on just 11 carries.
  • It was the second 100-yard rushing game by a Rainbow Warrior this season (Parson versus Nevada).
  • Zion Bowens scored for the third time in the last four games since returning from injury after a 20-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.  
  • Peter Manuma recorded his first two career interceptions with a pair of picks of Andrew Peasley – both in the second quarter. It’s the second multi-interception game by a Rainbow Warrior this season with Malik Hausman also snagging two interceptions against Duquesne.
  • Manuma also added five tackles, a sack and a forced fumble
  • He is one of two FBS players this year with a sack, a forced fumble and multiple interceptions in a game (JT Tuimoloau - Ohio State).
  • The freshman is also one of just two UH players since 2000 with multiple interceptions, a sack and a forced fumble in a game (Khoury Bethley – 2021).
  • Logan Taylor led UH in tackles for the second straight game with 13 tackles. He has 29 total tackles in the last two contests.
  • Taylor and Jonah Kahahawai-Welch each posted their first career sacks with a pair of third-quarter takedowns of Andrew Peasley on the same drive.
  • Blessman Ta‘ala tied his career high with six tackles.
  • Ezra Evaimalo made his first career start and finished with one tackle.
  • Matthew Shipley booted a career-long 63-yard punt in the fourth quarter.
