WWP team Championship

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

 

  • Captured the Big West Tournament for the second straight time after a come-from-behind victory over UC Irvine.

 

  • Won its first outright Big West regular season title since 2018.

 

  • Earned its seventh all-time berth to the NCAA Tournament, ultimately falling to host UCLA in the quarterfinals.

 

  • Extended the programs’ unbeaten streak at home to 12 wins in a row.

 

  • Lucia Gomez de la Puente (first team) and Carmen Baringo (third team) were named ACWPC All-Americans. The pair also landed  on the All-Big West first team.

 

  • Goalie Molly DiLalla, attacker Libby Gault and center Emma van Rossum were named All-Big West second team.

 

  • Emma van Rossum was named Big West Tournament MVP for her defensive efforts throughout the team’s run to its second-straight Big West Tournament title.

 

  • Head coach Maureen Cole was named Big West Coach of the Year.

THE RETURN TO THE DUKE

More than a year after hosting their last home matches, the Rainbow Wahine returned to home waters with a pair of wins over conference rival Long Beach State in early April.

BACK-TO-BACK

The Rainbow Wahine won their second-straight Big West Conference Tournament title with a come-from-behind win over UC Irvine in the championship match.

TOURNAMENT MOMENTS

Hawai'i booked its second trip to the NCAA Tournament in as many chances, taking on UCLA in the quarterfinals of the tourney.
