SERIES INFORMATION
  • UH  regained possession of the Paniolo Trophy with its second win over Wyoming in the last three meetings. UH also beat Wyoming in 2018 with a 17-13 victory in Honolulu.
  • The Rainbow Warriors ended a six-game losing streak in Laramie with its first win at War Memorial Stadium since 1991 (32-17).
  • The win was just UH’s third in the last 11 meetings between the teams. UH’s other two wins during the stretch came at home in 2014 and ’18.
  • Wyoming still leads the series 15-11 overall and 8-4 in Laramie.
 
TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • UH snapped a five-game losing streak in Mountain West road games. The Warriors last MW road win came at Fresno State, 34-19, in the 2020 season opener.
  • Despite its second straight win, UH concluded the regular-season with a losing record  for the first time since 2017. The Warriors had enjoyed three straight winning seasons.
  • UH still holds hope for a possible bowl bid, which would be the team’s fourth straight post-season berth.
  • UH committed at least one turnover in each of its 13 games this year.
 
INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Calvin Turner Jr. has scored in nine of 13 games this season after his 2-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Turner has a team-leading 12 touchdowns this season.
 
TEAM NOTES
  • UH held Wyoming to just 14 points, a season low for a UH opponent and tied for the lowest opponent total under Graham (14 by Houston, 2020).
  • Saturday’s game marks UH’s seventh and final road game of the season. Hawai‘i finished 2-5 on the road this year and are 3-7 in true road games in two seasons under coach Todd Graham.
  • After scoring 23 total points in back-to-back losses to San Diego State and UNLV, UH ended the regular season with 88 points (44.0 ppg) in wins over Colorado State and Wyoming.
  • UH improved to 7-17 all-time against Mountain Division teams, including 2-1 this year.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • With 323 yards passing and 86 yards rushing vs. the Cowboys, Chevan Cordeiro became the first player in UH history to surpass both 6,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing in a career.
  • Cordeiro now has 1,083 career rushing yards and joins only Michael Carter and Glenn Freitas as the only quarterbacks to reach 1,000 yards rushing.
  • Cordeiro also surpassed Dan Robinson (6,038) for fifth all-time at UH in passing yards. Cordeiro now sits at 6,127 career passing yards.
  • Cordeiro finished with his fourth 300-yard passing performance of the season and the sixth of his career.
  • Steven Fiso recorded the first two catches of his career and both of them went for touchdowns – a 19-yard catch in the first quarter and a 32-yard scoring strike in the fourth.  
  • Jared Smart scored his second touchdown this season on a 50-yard Hail Mary at the end of the first half. It marked his second catch this year of 50 or more yards.
  • Matthew Shipley booted a career-long 54 yard punt in the second quarter.
  • Jonah Panoke recorded four catches for a career-high 46 yards.
  • Nine different Rainbow Warriors caught a passes on the day.
  • Khoury Bethley recorded a team-high 12 tackles. It was his third game this year and sixth of his career in which he recorded double-digit tackles.
