SERIES INFORMATION
  • Nevada defeated UH for the first time since 2018.
  • The Wolf Pack lead the series 15-11, including 9-2 in Reno.
 

TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS  
  • UH has dropped five of its last six (true) road games road games dating back to last season. Under head coach Todd Graham, UH is 3-5 in road/neutral site games.



INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Calvin Turner Jr. did not score a touchdown in a game for just the second time this season. Turner had found the end zone in each of the last five games (eight touchdowns) prior to Saturday.
 
 
TEAM NOTES
  • Dae Dae Hunter’s 75-yard touchdown run on UH’s first offensive play was UH’s longest play from scrimmage this year until his 81-yard run just a quarter later.
  • UH has scored a touchdown on its opening drive in each of the last three games, including scores on its first play from scrimmage in two of those games (also at New Mexico State).
  • UH had its third punt blocked this season. Entering 2021, UH had a nation-leading streak of 154 straight games without a blocked punt, dating back to 2008.
  • A week after forcing six turnovers, UH was the victim of five turnovers (four interceptions, one fumble) of its own against Nevada. It was the most turnovers by UH under Todd Graham and the most since UH had six turnovers in its 2019 season opener vs. Arizona.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Powered by two runs of 75 yards or more, Dae Dae Hunter finished with a career-high 174 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
  • Hunter’s 174 yards were the most since Diocemy Saint Juste had 202 versus San Jose State in 2017.
  • Hunter had scoring runs of 75-yards and 81-yards in the first half alone. The 81-yard run was the longest since Paul Harris’ school record 95-yard run vs. UC Davis in 2015.
  • It was the second straight 100-yard game for Hunter, who has three for his career.
  • Hunter exited late in the second quarter and did not return to the game.
  • Brayden Schager earned his second straight start at quarterback and first start on the road. The freshman finished 22-of-39 for 205 yards and four interceptions.
  • Matthew Shipley hit his seventh straight field goal when he nailed a 28-yarder in the second quarter. Shipley is 8-of-9 on field goals this season.
  • Kamuela Borden recorded his first career catch with a 10-yarder on a third-down conversion in the second quarter.
  • Calvin Turner Jr. set a new career high for receptions with eight, gaining 83 yards.
  • Khoury Bethley finished with a team-high 13 tackles, one short of his career high. 
  • Quentin Frazier posted a career-high 10 tackles.
  • Zacchaeus McKinney recorded his first career sack with a third-quarter takedown of Carson Strong.
  • Jonah Laulu also recorded a sack, his team-high fourth of the year.
