SERIES INFORMATION
  • BYU leads the series 23-8. UH remains winless in Provo (0-10).
  • BYU has won the last five meetings and 11 of the last 12. UH’s last win in the series came in 2001.
  • Nine of the last 10 meetings have been decided by double-digits.
  • The teams will resume the series in 2024 in Provo and 2025 in Honolulu. 
STREAKS/TRENDS
  • UH has dropped 16 of its last 17 non-conference road games dating back to 2010.•    The Warriors failed to score on its opening possession for just the second straight game. UH scored on its opening drive in five of its first six games.
  • After scoring in the opening quarter in six consecutive games, UH failed to score in the for the second straight week. BYU led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
  • UH is 0-9 on natural grass fields since 2012.
  • The Warriors faced their biggest first half deficit of the year (28-3).

TEAM NOTES
  • UH dropped to 2-2 in road games this season. Under head coach Nick Rolovich, UH is 6-10 in road games
  • The 49 points were the most that UH has surrendered this year.
  • UH went 4-for-4 in the red zone vs. the Cougars and is 35-of-39 in the red zone this year.
  • UH made its fourth appearance on national television this season. The Warriors are 2-2 (wins over Colorado State and Navy; loss at Army and at BYU).
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES 
  • Cole McDonald returned to action after missing last week’s game vs. Wyoming. The junior finished 22-of-38 for 248 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
  • The interception was just the third of the season for McDonald.
  • Junior Dayton Furuta found the end zone twice for the Warriors. He scored his second touchdown of the season with a 1-yard plunge on UH’s opening drive of the second half then followed that up with his first career receiving TD on a 20-yd shovel pass from Cole McDonald.
  • Junior Roe Farris recorded his first interception of the season and the third of his career with a second-quarter pick of Zach Wilson. 
  • Ryan Meskell converted a 33-yard field goal in the second quarter. The junior placekicker is 9-of-11 on field goals this season.  
  • John Ursua finished with a team-high nine catches for 89 yards and a touchdown.
  • Ursua leads the team with 14 touchdowns this year (13 receiving, 1 rushing).
  • Ursua has caught at least one pass in 25 straight games.
  • Ursua has scored at least one touchdown in 12 of his last 14 games played.
  • Senior linebacker Jahlani Tavai posted 11 tackles and one sack. It was Tavai’s fifth game this season with at least 10 tackles.
