SERIES INFORMATION
  • Hawai‘i and Fresno State met for the 49th time and the 22nd time in Fresno.  Fresno State leads 26-22-1 overall and 13-8-1 in Fresno.
  • UH ended a five-game skid to the Bulldogs dating back to 2011. UH last winning in the series came at Fresno, 49-27, in 2010.
  • Four of the last six meetings between the teams have been decided by a touchdown or less.
  • UH is 8-32 all-time in the Mountain West and 4-15 in conference road games.
 
STREAKS/TRENDS
  • UH has won three of its last four road games.
  • Senior kicker Rigoberto Sanchez is a perfect 48-of-48 on kicks this year with a pair of PATs vs. Fresno State (37-of-37).
  • UH has turned the ball over at least once in each game this season and in 21 straight dating back to last season.
  • UH stopped the Bulldogs on their first drive, ending a string of four straight games in which UH had allowed an opening drive touchdown by its opponent.
  • Dejon Allen made his 36th straight start, the longest streak on the offensive side of the ball. 
          
TEAM NOTES
  • The UH win gives the Warriors their most league wins in a single-season (4) since joining the Mountain West in 2012 and their highest overall win total since 2011 (6)
  • UH’s three road wins are the most road wins in a season since the 2010 won four away games.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Steven Lakalaka has scored a team-high 12 touchdowns on the year after scoring on runs of 1- and 2-yards. The senior running back has scored in 9-of-12 games this season. It also marked the third time this year he has scored multiple touchdowns.
  • Wideout Marcus Kemp finished with a game-high eight catches for 65 yards to put him eight yards shy of 1,000 for the season.
  • Paul Harris earned his first start of the season and finished with eight carries for 33 yards.
  • Makoa Camanase-Steven’s 53-yard catch and run from Dru Brown was the second-longest pass player for UH this year.
  • Jahalani Tavai finished with a team-high 12 tackles and now has 111 for the season. He’s the first Rainbow Warrior to record 100 tackles in the season since Corey Paredes (107) and Aaron Brown (103) did it during the 2011 campaign.
  • Tavai’s 3.0 tackles-for-loss tied a career high
  • Viane Moala’s block of Kody Kroening’s potential game-winning field goal was his second blocked kick this season. He also blocked a field goal attempt in UH’s win at San Jose State on Oct. 8.
