Post-Match Notes - Hawai‘i vs. TCU (NCAA 1st Round)

  • UH won it's 22-straight match with a five-set win over TCU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas on Friday night.
  • Hawai'i improved to 27-1 overall while TCU from the Big 12 ended its season at 19-10.
  • It was just UH's third five-set match of the season. Hawai'i is now 3-0 in five set matches this season.
  • It is the second time this season, all five UH hitters recorded over 10 kills each
  • Setter Tayler Higgins dished out a career-high 65 assists.
  • Hawai'i junior Nikki Taylor led the 'Bows with a match-high 21 kills. It is the eighth time this season that she has notched over 20-kills this season.
  • Senior middle hitter Olivia Magill added a career-high 19 kills, hitting .472 with two errors on 36 swings. Magill also had four blocks (two solo)
  • Sophomore Kalei Greeley tallied a season-high 16 kills and hit .300 for the match with four errors in 40 swings. She also recorded a career-high 17 digs.
  • Senior outside hitter Tai Manu-Olevao put down 14 kills with 10 digs and a block
  • Sophomore middle hitter Emily Maglio buried 13 kills and hit .417 with three errors in 24 attempts.
  • Savanah Kahakai had a match-high 23 digs and five assists.
  • This marks Hawai'i's 34th NCAA appearance and 22nd-straight appearance.
