SERIES INFORMATION: Hawai‘i and Boise State met for the 14th time and sixth time in Boise, with the win BSU’s series lead extends to 11-3.
- Boise State’s win streak in the series extends to five (5) games, undefeated against UH since 2007.
 - BSU is now 6-0 in the series when playing in Boise.
 
Hawai‘i last opened the season with a 2-3 record in 2009 and for the third time since 2005.
With the loss, the Hawai‘i program record moves to 536-429-25 (.554), and 89-155-3 (.366) on the road.
With the loss, the Hawai‘i overall Mountain West record drops to 4-21 (.160), all under head coach Norm Chow.
UH is now 1-3 in Mountain West openers, and are 12-22  (.353) in conference openers all-time.
        *UH is 5-6 in conference openers since 2005 and 4-7 in the last 11 openers on the road.—After snapping a 19-game losing streak in nationally-televised         contests in the opener, UH’s losing streak extends three games and the team  is now 19-62-2 (.241) in 83 opportunities.
Playing its 86th all-time game in the Mountain Time Zone, UH now holds a 26-60 (.302) record when playing in MST/MDT territory.
UH now holds an 18-13 (.581) overall record, and are 4-7 when playing teams based in Idaho. 
Team Notes:- For the third time this season, UH forced its opponent to punt on its opening drive.
 - In the earliest score against UH this season, with the first play of its second drive and first pass of the game, Boise State’s Brett Rypien connected with Chaz Anderson for a touchdown on a 54-yard pass—the second-longest throw against UH this season.
 - With its second score on a Jeremy McNichols 13-yard touchdown rush, Boise State is the first opponent to score twice in the first quarter.
 - UH has now been shut out three times in the 2015 season, the last time that occurred was in 1966.
 - UH has not been shut out in consecutive games since 1998 against Arkansas State and SMU—Both sets occurred on the same dates.
 - Scoring 49 unanswered points in the first half, Boise State matched the 2004 Fresno State game for largest halftime deficit on record.
 - The 35 points scored in the second quarter were the most by a UH opponent since allowing 38 in the third quarter against Boise State on Oct. 29, 2004.
 - At a 55-point deficit, Boise State matches USC in 2012 for the 10th largest margin of defeat for UH, the fifth largest conference defeat—on the road and overall
 - With 170 yards of total offense, UH was held to its second-fewest yards offensively this season. Ohio State limited UH to 165 on Sept. 12—with the second-fewest passing yards this season at 88.
 - With 271 passing yards, BSU’s Rypien recorded the most passing yards against UH this season.
 - With 108 yards rushing, BSU’s McNichols became the third 100-yard rusher against UH this season.
 - The 554 yards of total offense amassed by BSU was the most by a UH opponent this season.
 - Left Tackle Ben Clarke has started every game of his UH career on the offensive line—today marked start number 42.
 - Starting quarterback Max Wittek left the game before the final series of the first half and did not return, providing Ikaika Woolsey his most significant experience of the 2015 season.
