  • UH has won its last nine games and 12 of its last 13 versus Football Championship Subdivision teams. UH’s last loss to an FCS opponent was Florida Atlantic in 2004
  • UH improved to 1-2 all-time against current members of the Missouri Valley Conference.
  • UH surrendered fourth-quarter points for the first time this year when it gave up two touchdowns to the Panthers in the final period.
  • Ikaika Woolsey tossed his first career touchdown when he connected with Harold Moleni on a 15-yard strike in the second quarter.
  • Steven Lakalaka, who earned his first start of the season, eclipsed 100 yards for the second time in his career when he rushed for a career-high 124 yards on 32 carries.
  • Lakalaka burst for a 30-yard touchdown in the third quarter was the longest run of his career.
  • Senior Jeremy Higgins saw his first action of the year at quarterback when he entered in the third quarter. Higgins finished 3-of-6 for 37 yards.
  • Scott Harding’s 52-yard reception from Ikaika Woolsey was UH’s longest play from scrimmage so far this season. It was also a career-long catch for Harding.
  • Harding booted a career-long 64-yard punt in the third quarter. His previous long was 62 yards, which he accomplished twice, the last being at Wyoming last season. Harding also set a new career high with 11 punts and seven punt returns.
  • Tyler Hadden improved to 6-of-7 on field goals this year after connecting on kicks of 36 and 37 yards. All six of his makes have been within 40 yards.
  • Senior defensive end Beau Yap scored his first career touchdown when he recovered n UNI fumble in the end zone in the first quarter. It was UH’s first defensive touchdown since a Julian Gener interception return at Oregon State in 2013 and the first fumble recovery for a touchdown since Jerrol Garcia Williams scored at Colorado State in 2012.
  • Redshirt freshman Dejon Allen earned his first career start at right guard. Redshirt freshman linebacker Jeremy Castro also earned his first career start.
  • Sophomore running back Steven Lakalaka and junior safety Marrell Jackson earned their first starts of the season. Keelan Ewaliko earned the starting nod at kick returner and returned his first collegiate kick for 32 yards.
  • Gov. Neil Abercrombie served as the honorary captain. Ne’Quan Phillips, Moses Samia, Lance Williamsn and Beau Yap served as team captains during the coin toss.
