  • Utah State now leads the series 8-6 and has won the last three meetings. UH and Utah State are even in the series in Honolulu at 4-4.
  • UH is now 2-9 in conference homes games under head coach Norm Chow. UH has lost six of its last seven conference home games.
  • UH suffered its largest margin of defeat this year (21 points).
  • UH scored a touchdown on its opening drive of the game for the first time since the season opener vs. Washington (Aug. 30).
  • UH surrendered its most first half points (28) since giving up 31 points versus Oregon State.
  • Ikaika Woolsey set career highs in passing yards (356) and completions (26).
  • It was Woolsey’s first 300-yard passing game and the most by a UH quarterback since Sean Schroeder passed for 499 yards at Wyoming last November.
  • Quinton Pedroza racked up a career high 123 yards receiving, for this second career 100-yard game.
  • UH’s 464 yards of total offense was its second-highest total of the year (513 vs. Wyoming).
  • UH had a season-high 13 penalties for 100 yards.
  • Justin Vele scored his first career touchdown on a 1-yd pass from Woolsey in the first quarter.
  • Woolsey’s 54-yard strike to Keelan Ewaliko in the first quarter was the team’s longest pass play of the year.
  • Ne’Quan Phillips recorded his first career sack with his second-quarter takedown of Utah State’s Kent Meyer.
  • Metuisela `Unga (TE) made his first career start on offense and did not record any stats.
  • Utah State’s Lajuan Hunt finished with 150 yards rushing making him the five straight opponent to rush for more than 100 yards against the Rainbow Warriors.
  • Devin Centers returned a UH fumble 10 yards for a Utah State touchdown in the second quarter. It was the second fumble return for a touchdown UH has given up this year (also vs. Wyoming).
  • Teresa Tyler, the President of the Board of Directors for Susan G. Komen Hawaii affiliate served as the University of Hawai'i's honorary captain. Scott Harding, Ben Clarke, and Kody Afusia served as team captains during the coin toss
