UH recorded seven tackles for loss versus the Beavers and have totaled 16 TFLs through two games this year.

UH surrendered seven pass plays of 20 or more yards against the Beavers after not only allowing a single one against USC in the season opener.

Senior quarterback Sean Schroeder saw his first action of the season under center midway through the fourth quarter. Schroeder completed his first three passes and finished 8-of-12 for 75 yards and one interception in UH’s final two series.

Scott Harding started at punter and recorded a career-long 61-yard boot in the second quarter, eclipsing his previous long of 50 yards set last season.

Julian Gener recorded his first career sack with his second quarter takedown of Sean Mannion and tied for the team lead with 11 tackles for the game.

Gener also returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. It was UH’s first defensive touchdown this year and first pick-six since John Hardy-Tuliau versus UNLV (Nov 2012).

Clark Evans scored his first touchdown of the year and second of his career with his 15-yard reception from Taylor Graham in the second quarter.

Evans touchdown capped UH’s longest scoring drive of the year, which spanned nine plays and 80 yards in 3:46.

Three players earned their first starts as Rainbow Warriors on offense: running back Aofaga Wily, right tackle David Griffin and right guard Frank Loyd.

Senior Craig Cofer made his first career start at defensive end. Last year he started three contests at tight end.

Charles Clay made his first start of the year and second of his career in place of an injured Marrell Jackson. Clay tied a team-high with 11 tackles.
