UH has started 0-5 for the sixth time in school history. The last time UH started a season 0-5 was during the winless campaign of 1998 (0-12).
 
UH is one of nine remaining winless teams in the FBS this season.

UH held a 14-10 lead after the first quarter, the first time this season the Rainbow Warriors led after the opening period.
 
Sean Schroeder passed for a career high 342 yards and three TDs. The senior has thrown for a combined 663 yards and six touchdowns the last two weeks.
 
Senior wide receiver Billy Ray Stutzmann extended his streak to 25 straight games with reception with a 7-yd catch during UH’s second offensive series. He finished with four catches for 51 yards and scored for the second straight game with a 28-yard catch in the third quarter.
 
Vasquez Haynes recorded his first career 100-yard game, finishing with six catches for 124 yards. Haynes also scored for the second straight game with a 8-yard reception from Sean Schroeder in the first half.
 
Freshman Trayvon Henderson recorded his first career interception in the third quarter.
 
Chris Gant scored his first career rushing touchdown on a 9-yard run in the first quarter.
 
David Fales 61-yard connection with Chandler Jones in the first quarter was the longest touchdown pass UH has surrendered this year, while Jarrod Lawson’s 39-yard run in the second quarter was the longest touchdown UH has given up this year.
 
Bubba Poueu-Luna returned his first-ever kickoff for 54 yards, a season-long return by UH.
 
Ne’Quan Phillips picked off a pass for the second straight week with his third quarter interception of David Fales.
 
Sophomore Ben Dew made his first career start at right guard.
 
Charles Clay, Chris Gant, Scott Harding and TJ Taimatuia  served as team captains during the coin toss, while former UH quarterback, running back and placekicker  Don "Spud" Botelho (1954-57) served as the honorary captain.
