UH dropped to 6-12-1 all-time against Air Force, including a 1-6 record in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Falcons took back possession of the Kuter Trophy, which UH held following a win in Honolulu in 2001.
UH holds a 10-12-1 all-time record against the academies.
The Warriors finished 0-6 on the road this season and surrendered an average of 42.7 points in their six losses.
UH extended its losing steak to eight games, the second longest streak in school history.
The Warriors have lost their last 10 conference games dating back to last season, which is also the second longest streak in school history.
UH has dropped 10 straight nationally televised games dating back to last season — including all six this season — and are 17-45-2 in 64 all-time appearances.
UH generated 162 yards of total offense, the second lowest total of the season.
Air Force did not attempt a pass and finished the game with zero passing yards, both UH opponents lows during the modern era.
The Falcons finished the game with 338 yards rushing, the fourth time this season UH surrendered more than 300 yards rushing in a game.
Quarterback Jeremy Higgins and fullback Justin Vele made their first career starts. UH has a nation-leading 31 different players who have made their first Division I start this season (16 on offense and 15 on defense).
In his first collegiate start, Higgins finished 14-of-23 for 125 yards and one touchdown.
UH scored on its opening possession for the first time all year with Higgins’ 26-yard touchdown pass to Clark Evans.
The Warriors led after the first quarter and shut out an opponent in the opening frame for just the second time all season.
Punter Alex Dunnachie averaged 46.4 yards on eight punts including a career-long 69 yarder in the fourth quarter. The senior had three punts of over 50 yards.
Safety Marrell Jackson posted a career-high 12 tackles and has led the team in tackles in foiur of five games since joining the starting lineup.
Senior Paipai Falemalu shared team-high honors with Jackson with a career-high 12 tackles. His previous high was 11 against Fresno State last season.
UH played without two starters — running back Will Gregory and linebacker Brenden Daley — both for disciplinary reasons.
UH is 5-9 all-time on ESPN’s Friday Night broadcast.
