McDonald's Restaurants Of Hawaii Will Kick Off Super Sack Big Mac Promotion On September 3

McDonald’s Will Contribute $500 to UH Athletics for Every Defensive Sack by Warriors

HONOLULU – With the September 3 start of the University of Hawaii football season against the University of Colorado, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii is giving fans another reason to cheer each time the opponent’s quarterback hits the turf. For every defensive sack of an opposing quarterback, McDonald’s will contribute $500 to the UH Athletics Department as part of this year’s Super Sack Big Mac promotion.

The promotion raised a total of $15,000 for UH Athletics last year, thanks to an impressive 30 sacks achieved by the Warriors.

“We’re excited that McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii is continuing to support UH Athletics this year,” said Jim Donovan, UH athletics director. “The Super Sack Big Mac promotion has always been a favorite of both our fans and athletes.”

The $500 contributions are just part of the Super Sack Big Mac promotion. Fans will also benefit on Super Sack Big Mac Mondays. Every Monday after a UH Warriors game, regardless of the outcome, customers can purchase the Super Sack Big Mac Meal – a Big Mac Extra Value Meal with a second Big Mac added free.

In addition, each restaurant will have a display poster with the UH football schedule to track the number of sacks by the Warrior defense in each game.
