UH improved to 10-2 all-time against Idaho, including a 3-1 advantage in Moscow.
Since Idaho joined the WAC, UH has won seven of the eight meetings.
UH won despite scoring a season-low 16 points. It was UH’s lowest point total in a win since a 13-10 victory at San Jose State in 2003.
Under head coach Greg McMackin, UH is 10-13 in road games, including an 8-7 record in WAC games.
Quarterback Bryant Moniz finished with 338 yards and one touchdown on 32-of-53 passing. It was Moniz’ fifth 300-yard game this season and 20
th of his career.
Senior receiver Royce Pollard tied his career high with 10 receptions, while gaining a team-high 151 yards. It was Pollard’s fourth 100-yard game this season and sixth of his career.
The UH defense has now held three opponents to under 250 yards this season (Colorado-240, UC Davis-196, Idaho-234).
UH is 13-2 in its last 15 WAC games dating back to 2009 (only losses at Boise State in 2010 and San Jose State in 2011).
Freshman kicker Tyler Hadden nailed a career-long 47 yard field goal to give UH a 13-7 lead late in the first half. Hadden is 3-of-7 on field goal attempts this year.
Freshman receiver Trevor Davis made his first career start and caught four passes for 32 yards.
UH surrendered a season-high six sacks in the win.
The UH defense entered the game ranked third nationally with 26 sacks and 16th in turnovers forced with 16. UH registered just one sack, while forcing two turnovers.
