Tonight’s loss snapped UH’s four-game win streak and ended its three-year streak of bowl appearances.
UH’s 6-7 final record marks the first losing season since 2005, when it finished 5-7.
UH is now 6-12 all-time vs. current members of the Big Ten conference, including a 5-10 mark in Honolulu.
Wisconsin now leads the overall series 5-1, including 4-1 in Honolulu.
The 41-point margin is the second-largest this season, behind a 45-point loss to Boise State.
UW’s John Clay rushed for 172 yards, the most by an opposing player this season. The previous high was Louisiana Tech’s Daniel Porter, who rushed for 160 yards.
UW amassed 554 yards of total offense, the most by a UH opponent this season. The previous high was 496 by Nevada.
The 301 yards rushing by Wisconsin is the third-most allowed by Hawai‘i this season.
UH’s 17 yards rushing is the second lowest of the season. The low was -7 yards at Louisiana Tech.
Slot receiver Greg Salas had three catches for 31 yards, his lowest output of the season. He finished the season ranked tied for 2nd in receptions (106) and 2nd in yards (1,590) in school history.
Salas extended his streak to 27 consecutive games with a reception dating back to last season.
UH place-kicker Scott Enos converted his second field goal of 40-plus yards in six attempts this season.
Quarterback Bryant Moniz threw his 14th TD pass of the season and wide receiver Jovonte Taylor caught his 4th of the season.
UH’s three points at halftime marked the fourth time the Warriors failed to score a first half touchdown this season. All four times resulted in UH losses.
UH’s 102 first half yards of total offense was the fewest this season.
UH made three national television appearances this season with a win against Navy (ESPNU) and losses to Louisiana Tech (ESPN2) and Wisconsin (ESPN2).
Since 1999, UH is 31-10 in regular season home games during the months of November and December, including a 15-8 mark against non-conference opponents.
UH has committed at least one turnover in 37 straight games. The last time that UH went turnover-free in a game was at UNLV on Sept. 15, 2007.
