“I want to congratulate New Mexico State. They did a good job. We had to play them twice in a week and they are a tough team. We wish them good luck. It was a good match, they played well.”
“It was tough to try and contain [Amber Simpson] and their right side. We got a few blocks towards the end, but it wasn’t enough. I thought that was a key component for them. Offensively they did a very nice job.”
“I thought Krystal Torres did a great job back there. Everything we hit she was back there. We focused on making their liberos move and struggle. Torres had a great serve and really backed us up. Defensively she was tough to beat. She was digging everything deep back there.”

“San Jose State played great defense. They won the majority of the long rallies. They were good in transition. Give Oscar and their staff credit. They have improved a lot since the beginning of the season.”
“I think the difference in the matches from the first time to the second time is that Hawaii didn’t pass as well and was a little more predictable. I don’t think we did a better job offensively in the second match. But I thought we played fantastic defense in the second match.”
“When we played Hawaii the first time in our place I think their might have been a little self doubt. We were close the whole way in every set.”
