ON THE PITCH
DID YOU KNOW?
UH enters Thursday's match against defending MAC Champion Western Michigan 5-0-1 all-time vs. opponents from the MAC.

HOME IN MĀNOA
Hawai'i opened the season by playing a pair of matches on campus against Texas Tech and Kansas State, marking the first time since 2019 that UH has played regular season matches in Manoa. UH will play its first seven matches at its on-campus field following a temporary move away from Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium that was announced a week prior to the start of the season. The Rainbow Wahine are 8-6-2 all-time when playing on campus, playing four home matches on their lower campus field in 2019, one in 2013 and the entire nine-match home schedule in Manoa in 1999.

INSTANT IMPACT
Forward Anuhea Aluli has made an immediate impact through just two matches in a Rainbow Wahine uniform. Aluli got the start in each of the first two matches on opening weekend and delivered the team's first goal of the season in Sunday's match against Kansas State, striking in the fourth minute for her first goal at UH. The Hau'ula native returned home after spending four seasons at Oakland University in Michigan where she tallied three goals and three assists in three seasons on the field. A 2022 graduate of Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama, Aluli was a part of three straight state champions squads and was named the state's Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in 2022.

IMMEDIATE TEST
The Rainbow Wahine will be put to the test throughout their nonconference schedule in 2026. UH started its season by taking on a pair of Big 12 opponents in No. 23 Texas Tech and Kansas State in the OUTRIGGER Soccer Kickoff. This week, the 'Bows will host defending MAC Champion Western Michigan before taking on former WAC rival Idaho in the OUTRIGGER Invitational. Hawai'i will also host Pac-12 opponent Washington State in its final nonconference home tournament.

FRESH FACES
Hawai'i's talented freshman class has already begun to make an impact, with a number of them playing key minutes on opening weekend. A group of eight freshmen in Parisa Abedi, Cora Bryant Jas Cayetano, Pana'ewa Cayetano, Olviia Dianda, Ella Gollis and Anna Maertz combined for 509 minutes of playing time in UH's first two matches while three of them earned a start in at least one of the matches.

» Pan'ewa Cayetano played all 90 minutes on the UH back line in each of the first two matches.
» Jas Cayetano delivered her first collegiate assist in Sunday's loss to Kansas State, totaling 115 minutes on the pitch over the first two weeks.
» Dianda got the start at forward in the opener and played 78 minutes in the two matches.
» Gollis and Maertz each saw extensive action off the bench, with Gollis logging 76 minutes and Maertz earning 53 minutes of playing time.
» Both Jas and Pan'ewa Cayetano were Hawai'i all-state selections out of Mililani HS and Kamehameha-Kapalama, respectively.
