HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i softball team won the Bank of Hawai'i Paradise Classic with a 4-1 record after splitting their Saturday doubleheader. The Rainbow Wahine defeated Pacific 3-1 as starting pitcher
Taryn Irimata earned the win while UH came through with some timely hitting.In the tournament finale, the 'Bows fell to Seattle U, 9-3. The four tournament teams outlasted soggy weather conditions throughout the day at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. The day started about an hour late and then another rain delay that lasted a little over an hour came between UH's two games.
Hawai'i 3, Pacific 1
UH's Irimata earned her second, complete game victory this week as she and the 'Bows held off Pacific, 3-1. She allowed just one run while spacing four hits. She walked just one Tiger and struck out seven at the plate.
Hawai'i rallied on two outs in the second inning to score a pair of runs.
Ellyanna Cinzori started things by pulling a double down the rightfield line. Cinzori then scored from second off an
Abby Sasaki RBI single.
Cierra Yamamoto kept things rolling with a single driven through the right-side of the infield which left runners at the corners. UH then executed a double-steal that scored Sasaki from third to extend lead to 2-0.
The Tigers got a run back in the third on an Allie Capello ground rule double that drove in Zaedi Tagalo to cut UH's lead in half, 2-1.
The 'Bows answered back in the fourth. Cinzori led the frame off with a single up the middle and advanced into scoring position on a Sasaki groundout. Yamamoto then roped a single through the right-side of the infield to drive in Cinzori from second to give UH a 3-1 lead.
Pacific's starting pitcher Justice Alcaraz gave up three runs on seven hits with a wLK and two strikeouts in six innings of work.
SeattleU 9, Hawai'i 3
Hawai'i led early 2-1, but the Red Hawks then took control scoring five in the third, two in the fourth and one more in the fifth to defeat UH, 9-3.
Seattle U scored one run in the top of the first on an Ava Sin sacrifice fly to left to drive in Jay Ross from third.

Carys Murakami responded ripping a double to the left-centerfield gap to score both
Jamie McGaughey and
Milan Ah Yat for a 2-1 lead..
The Redhawks then posted five runs in the third on two solo home runs plus two RBI doubles. SU added two more runs in the fifth and capped their scoring in the fifth with a Taylor Fitch RBI single.
Hawai'i was able to score one more run on Briana Maio-Silva's first solo home run in her first official collegiate at-bat.
Hawai'i used three of their five pitchers against the Redhawks. Hannah Pitts (1-1) took the loss as she tossed the first 2-2/3 inning, allowing five runs on five hits with two walks and a strikeout. Millie Fidge was able to get one out while giving up a run on two hits. True Freshman Maryn MacNeil fired the final 4.0 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with a pair of strikeouts.

The Rainbow Wahine will now embark on their first roadtrip of 2026. The 'Bows will play in back-to-back road tournaments in Southern California. UH will start at the CBU Classic (Feb. 14-16) hosted by Cal Baptist in Riverside, Calif. UH will then head to Cathedral City, Calif. to compete in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic from Feb. 19-21.
