SAN DIEGO, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i sixth-seeded men's tennis team fell in the Big West Championship first round to third-seeded UC Davis, 4-1at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif. on Friday morning.
 
The Rainbow Warriors got off to a strong start, capturing the doubles point to start the match. UH's No. 2 duo of Karl Collins and Andy Hernandez defeated UC Davis' Lucas Bollinger and Kaveh Taheri, 6-2. Hawai'i's No. 1 pair of Azuma Visaya and Quinn Snyder seized the point by holding off Ryan Torres and Ivan Savkin by a break, 6-4.
 
The Rainbow Warriors were looking good early with both Visaya and Collins winning their first set in singles, but then UH senior Snyder dropped his first match of the season, falling to UCD's Bollinger on the No. 2 court, 7-5, 6-1. Snyder finishes the season with an impressive 12-1 singles record.
 
The Aggies then took a 2-1 lead with Perry DiGiulio's 6-2, 6-3 win over UH's Tianhao Hou on the No. 6 court. In the closest match of the day, UH's Diego Dalisay got edged out on the No. 4 court, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) by UCD's Rithvik Katpelly. The Aggies' De Vries then clinched the match with a three-set win over UH's Hernandez, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
 
The Rainbow Warriors' loss ends their 2025 season with a 4-17 overall record and a 1-5 mark in conference play in head coach Hendrik Bode's first year at the helm of the program. The 'Bows will bid aloha to its five seniors – Karl Collins, Diego Dalisay, Andy Hernandez, Quinn Snyder, and Sohta Urano.
