HONOLULU – The third-ranked University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team completed a two-match series sweep of Lindenwood with a four-set victory Friday at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Set scores were 25-16, 23-25, 27-25, 25-23.

th OUTRIGGER Volleyball Invitational featuring nationally-ranked Ball State, Penn State, and USC. Unlike Wednesday's sweep when 14 players saw action, Hawai'i stuck mainly with its starters led by
Kristian Titriyski's match-high 19 kills along with eight digs and two blocks.
Adrien Roure added 11 kills, hitting .421 while
Finn Kearney posted seven kills, hitting .500.
As a team, Hawai'i hit .305 for the match and also tallied 10.5 blocks.
The Lions (4-11) were led by Jacob Christopher and Carter Stenmark, who each had 14 kills. Lindenwood hit .217 for the match and posted 12 team blocks and four aces.
UH jumped out to a 10-5 lead in Set 1 with seven kills in nine attempts. The Lions fought back and closed to within two before the Warriors extended the lead to 21-14 after a 5-0 run. Hawai'i hit .500 in the set led by Titriyski's five kills.
The Lions hung tough in the second set, taking a 12-11 lead after a Zach Solomon ace. Lindenwood continued to maintain its lead and had a 24-22 advantage after a Stenmark kill. Following a Lion service error,
Clay Wieter's serve went into the net giving Lindenwood the set.
UH took a 10-7 lead in Set 3 behind the serving of
Tread Rosenthal. The Lions tied it at 18-18 after a 4-0 run and jumped ahead 21-20 after another three-point surge. UH retook the lead after a Roure-
Kurt Nusterer double-block and then grabbed the set on its third try after a Lion attack error.
The Lions jumped all over the Warriors in Set 4, taking a 15-10 lead at the media timeout. Hawai'i answered right back behind the serving of Titriyski and Roure for a 9-1 run and a three-point lead. The Lions closed to within one at 21-20 but UH managed to side-out and ended it on Rosenthal's fifth kill.
The OUTRIGGER Invitational runs Thursday, March 13 through Saturday, March 15 with matches starting at 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m., each day. The Warriors are the defending champions, winning their 11
th tournament title last season. Penn State has made 22 appearances in the OUTRIGGER with three titles, most recently in 2023.
