Beach Volleyball Portuguese Horseshoes Fundraiser Set for Sept. 21

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai`i beach volleyball program has brought back a beloved fundraiser with the 2024 Portuguese Horseshoe Tournament set for Saturday, Sept. 21 at Camp Mokulēʻia. The tournament will take place during the Sunshine Daydream Hawai'i Festival as fans can meet and greet coaches and players while enjoying friendly competition, world-class music and ono bites and beverages.

The tournament takes place at the foot of the towering Waianae mountains and beside the beautiful Pacific Ocean as approximately 1,000 festival goers are expected to be onsite enjoying performances by both national and local artists as well as other festivities.

Matches start at 1:30 p.m and will feature competition between two-person teams. Fans can enter as an individual or as a team. In addition, fans can purchase a group ticket and enter up to 10 teams.

The Rainbow Wahine enjoyed tremendous success last season, winning the 2024 Big West Championship, while making its third straight appearance at the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships.
