SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team is heading to California to compete in the UC Santa Barbara Fall Classic. The Rainbow Warriors will face tough competition from players representing 13 teams--No. 62 California, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon. LMU, No. 41 Pepperdine, Saint Mary's-CA, No. 75 San Diego State, No. 59 Santa Clara, No. 17 Stanford, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA and host 48th-ranked UCSB. The tournament begins on Friday Oct. 4 at 7:00 a.m. HT and runs through Sunday, Oct. 6 with first serve coming at 5:30 a.m. HT at UCSB's the Arnhold Tennis Center.

There will be at least three singles flights with 16 player draws. Every match will be two out of three sets, no-ad scoring. For doubles, there will also be three flights with an eight game pro-set with no-ad scoring and a tiebreaker at 7-all.

Diego Dalisay both battled at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. two weeks ago where Visaya recorded an upset win over 108th-ranked Cesar Bouchelaghem of Washington in a hard fought, straight-set victory, 7-6 (6), 6-4 in the Pre-Qualifying Consolation round.

Sohta Urano will will open play this week. Seniors Snyder, Hernandez, and Collins all earned all-Big West Honors last year led by Snyder who earned Second Team honors in singles after leading UH with an 8-6 singles record while also earning Second Team doubles recognition with partner Hernanadez. Collins garnered Honorable Mention honors posting a 7-6 singles mark.
