HONOLULU – Kyson Donahue and
Cameron Hagan each earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team Tuesday for their efforts in the classroom and on the field.
Donahue is tied for the team lead with seven home runs and leads the team with 40 RBIs while batting .315 with a team-high 15 doubles and .533 slugging percentage. The Honolulu native has started all 43 games this year and has gotten the nod at five different positions on the field, including all four infield positions and left field.
Hagan has appeared in seven games out of the bullpen this year, pitching 11.0 innings while striking out nine. The Salem, Ore., native has worked 64.1 innings in his career over 41 appearances and has struck out 57 while recording three saves.
Both Donahue and Hagan met the criteria of holding a cumulative 3.50 GPA and being a key contributor, competing in at least 50 percent of games or pitching at least 10.0 innings. Student-athletes must also be in at least their second season at their current school to earn a spot on the all-district team.
