SAN DIEGO, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team saw its season come to an end falling, 4-1 to top seeded and 39
th-ranked UC Santa Barbara in the Big West Championship semifinals on Saturday at the Barnes Tennis Center. The Gauchos eliminated the Rainbow Warriors for the second-straight season in the semifinal round.
UCSB took the doubles point for the 1-0 lead, winning on Courts No. 3 and 1. UH's No. 2 duo of
Axel Labrunie and
Kilian Maitre finished the season with a team-best 12-3 doubles record after defeating the Gauchos' Conrad Brown and Luka Mrsic, 6-4.
In singles, the Gauchos took a quick 3-0 lead after winning on Courts No. 3 and 6. But #74

Andre Ilagan concluded the regular season with a team-best 16-3 singles record. UH's No. 1 Ilagan defeated Phillip Jordan in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. The Gauchos then clinched with straight-set win on the No. 5 court as Conrad Brown held off
Kilian Maitre in a hard fought match, 7-6(3), 6-4.
Hawai'i finished the season with an 11-9 overall record.
