BeachBows Reel In Trio of Players For 2024

HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine beach volleyball head coach Evan Silberstein announced the signings of three standout  players who will join the program next fall. Making their way to Mānoa will be Jordan Brown, Ayva Moi and Jasmine Wandeler.

Jordan Brown

Competed in the National Beach Volleyball League (NBVL) in Calgary…named the best server in back-to-back years and tabbed the best defender in 2022. 

Silberstein on Brown: "Jordan is a smooth beach player coming off a gap year where she continued to mature and develop her game.  She has great hands, excellent dexterity and is a phenomenal athlete. We are excited to help her reach her lofty goals and make a big impact on our program's success in the next four years."
 
Ayva Moi
Height: 5-11
High School: Cathedral Catholic
Club: Wave Beach
Hometown: San Diego, Calif.
  
Part of Cathedral Catholic's beach squad that captured back-to-back  San Diego Section titles…also a key member Cathedral Catholic's state champion indoor squad…just recently led the school to its third straight San Diego Section Open Division title in indoor…an honor-roll student…father Junior Moi played football at USC while her older brother Jordan Moi currently plays for Stanford football.
 
Silberstein on Moi: "Ayva is a great addition to our program and team culture. She brings a nice mix of power, touch and skillfulness delivered with a smile. Those qualities will make her a natural on the beach as she transitions from being a successful indoor outside hitter at one of the top teams in the country to a full time player on the sand."

UH's first-ever Swiss recruit…captured the 2023 U19 Swiss Beach Volleyball Championship… competed in numerous futures events throughout Europe in the 2023 Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour…placed third in the 2023 Western European Volleyball Zonal Association (WEVZA) Tournament…also finished third at the 2023 Swiss Tour Rorschach, the highest tour in Switzerland.
 
Silberstein on Wandeler: "Jasmine is an elite international talent with high hopes to make her mark on the NCAA beach volleyball landscape. Her long reach and left arm are unique assets. She promises to have a successful career here at Hawai`i while continuing to represent Switzerland on the international circuits."
