The University of Hawai'i men's golf team continued its two-week road trip with the UC San Diego Invitational, Monday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 22 at the La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif.
The Rainbow Warriors remained on the continent after competing in the Grand Canyon University Invitational last week in Phoenix, Ariz. UH is one of six Big West Conference schools in the 15-team field along with host UCSD, CSUN, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, and UC Santa Barbara.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the 7,151-yard, par-72 course. Competing for the Rainbow Warriors are

Tyler Ogawa,
Pierce Braun,
Garrett Takeuchi, and
Atsuya Oishi.
Oishi was UH's top finisher at the GCU Invitational, tying for 10
th place with a 3-under 210. Competing in just his fourth collegiate event, the Japan native shot 67 and 69 in the final two rounds for his best finish as a Rainbow Warrior.
Following the UCSD Invite, UH will return to Honolulu before heading to Santa Cruz, Calif., for its annual trip to the Western Intercollegiate, April 12-13. The Big West Championship is scheduled for May 1-3 in La Quinta, Calif.
