PHOENIX, Ariz. – University of Hawai'i freshman 
Atsuya Oishi carded a final round 4-under 67 to finish in a tie for 10
th place after the final round of the Grand Canyon Invitational at the GCU Golf Course.
 
The Hiroshima, Japan native at 3-under 210 and was 6-under over his final 36 holes of the tournament. He was 7-under through his first 15 holes of the day and inside the Top 5 before a bogey at No. 6 and double at his finishing No. 8 hole.
 
Oishi was competing in only his fourth collegiate tournament. His previous best 54-hole total was 226 while his low round was 70 entering this week. The tournament was also his first outside of the state of Hawai'i this season.
 
Host GCU captured the team title with an 834 total, four strokes clear of runner-up Fresno State. UH (865) finished 13
th in the 23-team field.
 
UH freshman 
Pierce Braun, a GCU transfer, tied for 27
th at even par 213. He finished the tournament with a final round 1-over 73 but not before putting the finishing touches on a 3-under second round which was completed earlier in the day after darkness suspended Monday's round.

th).
 
UT Arlington's Kyle Cox captured medalist honors at 11-under 202.
