SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – University of Hawai'i men's golfer
Justin Ngan fell out of the lead after a second round 76 at the 74
th Western Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Pasatiempo Golf Club.
After sharing the Round 1 lead, the senior struggled with two bogeys, two double bogeys and a triple bogey to drop 17 spots into a tie for 18
th heading into Wednesday's final round. The Wailuku, Maui native saw his lead disappear after a bogey at No. 3 and a triple at No. 6.
Making the turn at 3-over for the tournament, he managed to post birdies at No. 10 and No. 17 and went bogey-free until a double at the 18
th hole put him at 3-over 143 for the tournament.
Cal's Finigan Tilly, whom Ngan shared the lead with, carded a 73 and is in a tie for ninth, six strokes off the lead held by BYU's Carson Lundell, who shot 66 and is 6-under for the tournament. Lundell holds a four-stroke lead heading into Wednesday's final round.
UH's low man of the day was sophomore
Kotaro Murata, who posted a 74 and is tied for 56
th at 149. Also competing for the Rainbow Warriors are

As a team, the Rainbow Warriors are in 13
th place at 764. Pepperdine leap-frogged Washington in the team standings at 702, while the Huskies are six strokes back at 708 followed by Stanford (710), BYU (711), and Cal (713).
The tournament concludes on Wednesday with the third and final round.
