EUGENE, Ore. – University of Hawai'i men's golfer
Kotaro Murata shot a final round 75 to finish in a tie for 24
thplace at the Duck Invitational Tuesday at the Eugene Country Club.
Murata completed the tournament with a 9-over 222 total and was the Rainbow Warriors' top finisher. The Japan native was 1-under through six holes but hit a roadblock with back-to-back double bogeys at Nos. 7 and 8 and went on to shoot +1 over his last 10 holes.
As a team, the Rainbow Warriors carded a final round 316 for a 935 total. Oregon State rallied past host Oregon to capture the team title at 860, four strokes better than the Ducks. Boise State's Hugo Townsend shot 1-under 70 on Tuesday for a 6-under 207 total and medalist honors. Washington's Noah Woolsey was runner-up, finishing two strokes back.

Justin Arcano shot his best round of the tournament with a 75 for a 238 total and tie for 76

UH will next compete in the Western Intercollegiate April 12-14 at the famed Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz, Calif.
