KA'ANAPALI, Maui – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team completed its fall season Sunday with the final round of the Kā'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational at the Royal Kā'anapali Course.
The event was the second in a week that saw the Rainbow Warriors host two tournaments on two different islands along with the Hoakalei Country Club Invitational on O'ahu.
UH entered two teams in the 14-team field with the "B" squad beating out the "A" squad by 10 strokes. The "B" team finished with a 872 total and 12
th place while the "A" squad was 13
th at 882.
Competing for the "B" team, senior
Kanata Irei completed the 54-hole event with a 4-under 209 total and a tie for 23
rd place after a final round 72. The "A" squad was led by freshman
Tyler Ogawa, who tied for 48
th place at 3-over 216.
Kansas ran away with the team title with a tournament-record 52-under 800. Runner-up Colorado (820) finished 20 strokes back, followed by Boise State (824), CSUN and UConn (826).
Individually, Brandon Berry of Loyola (Md.) took medalist honors at 16-under 197, one stroke ahead of Denver's Carson Griggs.

Jake Sequin of the "A" team posted the low round of the day for either team with a 2-under 69 and finished the tournament in a tie for 62
nd at 221. Also comprising the "A" team were

th),
AJ Teraoka (230; 74
th), and
Ratio Visuttipinate (231; t-75
th).
UH will open the spring season with the Amer Ari Invitational, Feb. 3-5 at the Hāpuna Golf Course in Waimea, Hawai'i.
