HONOLULU - University of Hawai'i Athletics, in partnership with Hawaii Foodbank, will hold a contactless, drive-thru food drive on Wednesday, October 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Stan Sheriff Center parking lot to collect food donations to help those who are facing hunger. UH coaches and student-athletes will be on hand to say Mahalo.
Since Hawai'i's first statewide "stay at home, work at home order" on March 25, demand for food assistance has increased by nearly 60 percent. Hawai'i has the 5th highest increase in food insecurity in the United States. Your contributions will assist with meeting the nutritional needs of 1 in 6 Hawai'i residents already struggling with hunger.
