Men's Golf

Third Straight Academic Team Award For Men’s Golf

NORMAN, Okla. – For the third consecutive year and fourth time in the last five years, the University of Hawai'i men's golf team received the Golf Coaches Association of America Outstanding Team Academic honors by finishing with a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

UH was one of 250 schools across all collegiate divisions to submit GPAs of 3.0 or above. A total of 95 of those schools earned Presidents Special Recognition Honors, finishing with a team GPA of 3.5 or above.

To be eligible for GCAA Outstanding Team Academic honors, a college or university must submit GPAs for each player on their official squad list for the academic year. Kentucky (NCAA Division I) finished with the top overall GPA in all divisions, finishing the 2019-20 season with a 3.89 team GPA.

Along with UH, UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara were the only teams in the Big West Conference to be recognized.
