Guilherme Voss each picked up their second Big West Conference weekly award after helping the Rainbow Warriors claim the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Invitational last weekend.
Parapunov was named Player of the Week while Voss was freshman of the week. For Parapunov, it marks his ninth career award, which is a Big West record, while Voss earned his second freshman of the week honor.
Parapunov, a senior from Sofia, Bulgaria, averaged 5.17 kills, 1.50 digs, and 0.83 blocks per set while hitting .468 in a pair of wins over nationally ranked Concordia-Irvine and UC Irvine. Parapunov had a match-high 17 kills, hitting .560 against Concordia and 14 kills with two aces, six digs, and four blocks in the championship match against UCI. The opposite was named to the all-tournament team.
Voss, a freshman from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, averaged 1.50 kills and 1.67 blocks per set, hitting .533 with just one attack error in 15 attempts. He posted seven kills, hitting at a .583 clip against Concordia and notched five blocks in both matches.
